Base Salary
$140k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end validation of Lightning services across cloud-side and Falcon Sensor interactions at component, integration, and application levels.
- Build and own Lightning-specific test tooling and frameworks while contributing to shared testing tools and infrastructure.
- Define and drive functional, performance, contract, chaos, and resilience testing strategies.
- Guide technical design reviews and code reviews as the quality, testability, and code-hygiene subject matter expert.
- Contribute backend code and service operations, including observability, monitoring, root cause analysis, and quality improvements to prevent outages.
- Use open-source solutions and AI or agentic tools to improve testing workflows and automation.
- Mentor engineers and help drive a quality culture across the team or organization.
Requirements
- 9+ years of combined experience as an SDET and/or backend developer.
- Experience building testing frameworks and tooling for a cloud SaaS product or comparable service-oriented architecture.
- Experience defining or contributing to testing strategy at team or organizational level.
- Strong debugging skills involving design flaws, race conditions, and performance bottlenecks in complex architectures.
- Expertise in at least one of Go, Python, Java, Kotlin, Rust, or C/C++; Go is the primary language.
- Experience with cloud distributed-systems technologies such as Kubernetes, Cassandra, Redis, or Kafka.
- Experience with distributed systems, scalability challenges, cloud services, and compute or storage offerings on AWS or GCP.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing in deployment workflows, and containerized development and deployment.
- Proven experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving quality culture across a team or organization.
- Preferred experience with low-latency cloud services, gRPC, Kafka, cloud-connected endpoint software, OCI, and AI or agentic tools for testing automation.
