Responsibilities
- Partner with technology leaders to align security automation work with technology strategy and roadmaps.
- Gather and analyze requirements from requesting parties and stakeholders.
- Design, develop, test, and release SOAR automation use cases.
- Develop automations using no-code, low-code, and traditional coding approaches.
- Build custom security applications and tools using Python web development.
- Improve the performance and efficiency of existing automation solutions.
- Participate in diagnosing and resolving production support issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 to 5+ years of software engineering experience in information security or intelligence contexts, or 6 to 7+ years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated competence in Python, particularly HTTP client programming.
- SOAR platform engineering and development experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of cyber detection concepts, security tools, and software quality practices including manual and automated testing.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and collaboration skills.
- Applicable information security or tool-specific certifications and prior SOC, cyber intelligence, or incident response experience are desirable.
