Base Salary
$168k - $330k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate Ramp’s multi-surface platform with strong reliability, correctness, and developer experience.
- Serve developers and partners using Ramp’s API and support embedding Ramp across businesses.
- Build software factories, autonomous tooling, and agents that accelerate API endpoint creation.
- Lead complex backend projects end to end, including architecture, implementation, rollout, and monitoring, using Python, Temporal, and Postgres.
- Own API user experience, robustness, quality, reliability, and sustainability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
- Experience building APIs or developer-facing platforms.
- Strong understanding of developer experience, including documentation, error messages, and onboarding.
- Demonstrated ownership of technical and business outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Daily hands-on use of AI coding agents as the primary development driver.
- Comfort with agentic workflows, orchestration layers, and AI tooling.
