Base Salary
$204k - $259k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own business-critical low-latency systems that take actions in response to signals from Waymo’s fleet.
- Develop algorithms and infrastructure for keeping maps fresh.
- Build robust backend infrastructure and data processing systems that scale with Waymo’s growth.
- Contribute to Waymo’s Mapping stack through infrastructure development, algorithm advances, and tooling improvements.
Requirements
- Experience building server-side infrastructure and data processing as a backend engineer.
- Strong coding skills, with C++ preferred.
- More than 4 years of total experience.
- Ability to take ownership, work effectively in ambiguity, and apply a broad range of skills to solve business problems.
- Preferred: a master’s degree in computer science, robotics, or a related field.
- Preferred: experience in the autonomous-vehicle industry or mapping.
