Base Salary
$204k - $259k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own business-critical systems that take low-latency actions in response to signals from Waymo’s fleet.
- Develop algorithms and infrastructure to keep maps fresh.
- Build scalable backend infrastructure and data-processing systems.
- Contribute to infrastructure development, algorithm advances, and tooling improvements across Waymo’s Mapping stack.
Requirements
- Experience building server-side infrastructure and data-processing systems as a backend engineer.
- Strong coding skills, with C++ preferred.
- More than four years of total experience.
- Strong ownership and ability to thrive in ambiguity.
- Proven ability to apply a broad range of skills to solve business problems.
- Preferred: master’s degree in computer science, robotics, or a related field.
- Preferred: experience in the autonomous vehicle industry or mapping.
