Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for applications and data platforms.
- Deploy and support Azure Databricks, Azure Event Hubs, and Azure Storage services, including ADLS Gen2 and Blob storage.
- Manage and optimize Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, and related SQL-based systems.
- Automate operational tasks with Python, Bash, and other scripting tools.
- Administer Linux-based environments.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and cloud costs.
- Implement security, compliance, and governance across Azure resources.
- Partner with engineering, data engineering, and platform teams to enable DevOps practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and maintain high availability of critical systems.
- Support real-time data pipelines and streaming architectures.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Terraform is mandatory.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure core services, networking, and security is required.
- Experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Event Hubs, and Azure Storage, including ADLS Gen2 and Blob, is required.
- Proficiency in SQL, including querying, performance tuning, and data workflows, is required.
- Strong Python and Bash scripting skills are required.
- Solid Linux system administration experience is required.
- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes is required or expected.
- Knowledge of Azure security practices, including RBAC, managed identities, and Key Vault, is required.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, GitHub, or Azure DevOps is required.
- Experience with Git and infrastructure automation or configuration management is required.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Datadog and Splunk is required.
- Experience with streaming data architectures, event-driven systems, data lake or Lakehouse architectures, or high-throughput and low-latency environments is a plus.
