Responsibilities
- Own the company’s production and development trading infrastructure.
- Develop new infrastructure with a focus on automation, repeatability, flexibility, and centralized management.
- Detect, diagnose, and help resolve performance and stability issues in applications, networks, and operating systems.
- Analyze metrics, packet dumps, and logs, then automate recurring solutions.
- Take day-to-day ownership of monitoring and alerting tools.
- Participate in a shared best-efforts, compensated out-of-hours on-call system.
- Work closely with the CTO and development team to support critical trading systems.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Linux-focused DevOps engineer.
- Experience with security, user management, auditing, and provisioning.
- Configuration-management experience, specifically with Ansible.
- Strong AWS skills, including EC2, VPC, and RDS.
- Networking experience covering AWS VPC multi-region networking, routing, VPN, and general network security.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting, particularly Prometheus and Grafana.
- Fluency in Bash and Python for automation.
- Database administration experience with Postgres.
- Proven experience in the financial, trading, or gaming sector.
