Base Salary
$192k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build fault-tolerant and horizontally scalable distributed systems for multi-tenant environments.
- Design, implement, and operate foundational platforms in production.
- Develop data pipelines that ingest, store, analyze, and query billions of events per second in real time.
- Write software in Go, Java, Rust, C++, and other languages as appropriate.
- Use Kafka, Redis, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and other open-source components.
- Own meaningful parts of services and address durability, availability, latency, performance, and operability challenges.
- Use AI coding tools and validate, critique, and refine AI-generated output.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional experience.
- A BS, MS, or PhD in a scientific field, or equivalent experience.
- Significant backend programming experience in one or more of Go, Java, Rust, or C++.
- Experience working on high-durability and low-latency problems.
- Ability to work at a low level when needed.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI coding tools in day-to-day workflows and evaluate their output.
- Eligibility for any required US government authorizations may be required for some roles due to export control regulations.
