Responsibilities
- Strategically develop the hybrid AI platform across on-premises GPU resources, internal platform services, Azure, and cloud components.
- Develop target architectures, architecture principles, standards, and technology roadmaps for enterprise AI platforms.
- Evaluate LLMs, RAG architectures, AI agents, frameworks, and platform technologies, and create recommendations and proofs of concept.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to specialists, business functions, decision-makers, and implementation teams.
- Assess scalability, information security, data protection, performance, cost, operational viability, and dependencies.
- Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, network, security, data, and application teams to define integrated solutions and interfaces.
- Establish reusable technical components and standards for AI governance, model deployment, evaluation, observability, and lifecycle management.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in a senior, lead, or architecture role.
- Strong knowledge of generative AI, large language models, RAG, agent-based systems, and modern AI platform architectures.
- Experience designing hybrid architectures combining on-premises and cloud components and developing target architectures, principles, standards, and roadmaps.
- Ability to assess dependencies across AI platforms, cloud, GPU infrastructure, networks, security, identity management, data, and applications at a strategic and conceptual level.
- Ability to evaluate technologies, models, and vendors based on quality, value, data protection, security, performance, cost, and long-term viability.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure AI, Azure AI Foundry, or Azure OpenAI is a plus.
- Very strong German and English communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical subjects to varied audiences.
