Responsibilities
- Strategically develop the hybrid AI platform using on-premises GPU resources, internal platform services, Azure, and cloud components.
- Evaluate LLMs, RAG architectures, AI agents, frameworks, and platform technologies and translate findings into recommendations and proofs of concept.
- Develop technical target architectures, architecture principles, standards, and technology roadmaps while providing technical leadership to teams.
- Assess scalability, information security, data protection, performance, cost, dependencies, and operational viability.
- Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, network, security, data, and application teams to define integrated solutions and interfaces.
- Establish reusable components and standards for AI governance, model deployment, evaluation, observability, and lifecycle management.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in a senior, lead, or architecture role.
- Strong expertise in Generative AI, Large Language Models, RAG, agent-based systems, and modern AI platform architectures.
- Experience designing hybrid on-premises and cloud architectures and developing target architectures, principles, standards, and roadmaps.
- Ability to assess dependencies across AI platforms, cloud, GPU infrastructure, networking, security, identity management, data, and applications at a strategic level.
- Structured ability to evaluate technologies, models, and vendors for quality, value, privacy, security, performance, cost, and long-term viability.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure AI, Azure AI Foundry, or Azure OpenAI is a plus.
- Very good German and English skills and the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to diverse audiences.
