Base Salary
$143k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement features in Walmart Android and iOS applications.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to optimize the Android user experience.
- Prototype new technologies and features.
- Manage code, configurations, multiple environments, release processes, and environment controls.
- Lead software design, coding, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers while enforcing quality code and SOLID principles.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams.
- Apply industry research to improve Walmart’s technology environment.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in object-oriented design and software development.
- 10+ years of experience with pure native development.
- 6+ years of experience with Kotlin for Android/iOS development.
- 3+ years of experience with WebView or hybrid mobile application development.
- Understanding of MVVM and clean architecture.
- Experience shipping one or more Android applications that remain available in the Play Store.
- Familiarity with compilers, linkers, build systems, and project configuration.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area plus 4 years of software engineering experience, or 6 years of software engineering experience.
- Preferred qualifications include a relevant master’s degree plus 2 years of software engineering experience.
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices is preferred.
