Platform Engineer - Product Development and Quoting

Responsibilities
- Lead technical designs for complex, highly integrated application platforms while optimizing security, reuse, integration, performance, and availability.
- Translate logical architecture into implementable designs and define integration strategies and physical design patterns.
- Consult with architects, project teams, business analysts, and stakeholders on solution design, technical planning, and process improvements.
- Assess infrastructure, operational impacts, dependencies, risks, vendors, and integrations before execution.
- Provide technical guidance on supported solutions, architecture governance, IT policies, security, and infrastructure.
- Oversee technical solution planning, development, estimation, and collaboration across engineering and shared-services teams.
- Build business relationships and ensure technical designs align with business needs and architecture standards.
- Provide training, coaching, and mentorship on technical design and solution implementation.
- Develop and apply industry best practices and recommend emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or direct and applicable work experience.
- At least 7 years of experience, including development, innovative solutions, infrastructure, architecture design, and operations experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in IT infrastructure, architecture design, and operations.
- Experience designing, integrating, and supporting complex enterprise technology solutions.
- Experience developing and supporting modern web applications and services using Angular, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, or comparable technologies.
- Experience designing and supporting AWS or comparable cloud solutions involving APIs, event-driven architectures, messaging, and shared data services.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including Amazon Aurora/SQL and MongoDB.
- Experience working in Agile product delivery or software engineering environments.
- Formal or informal leadership, coaching, mentoring, architecture design, stakeholder consulting, problem solving, and strong communication skills.
- Experience collaborating across an enterprise to build and maintain successful partner relationships.
