Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end product capabilities across frontend applications, backend services, APIs, databases, and third-party integrations.
- Translate product requirements, UX designs, and acceptance criteria into scalable technical solutions and lead technical design for complex initiatives.
- Develop responsive and accessible user interfaces and backend services, business logic, data models, and asynchronous workflows.
- Build capabilities involving video creation, rendering, personalization, animation, asset management, analytics, and distribution.
- Identify and address performance, scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability concerns.
- Write automated unit, integration, component, and end-to-end tests and participate in code reviews.
- Diagnose and resolve complex production issues across application and infrastructure layers.
- Improve observability through structured logging, monitoring, metrics, tracing, and actionable alerts.
- Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams throughout delivery.
- Mentor mid-level engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, pairing, and feedback.
- Contribute to architectural standards, engineering practices, shared components, and reusable platform capabilities.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly for development, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and code modernization.
- Support release readiness, production operations, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
Requirements
- Approximately 7+ years of professional software development experience, including substantial experience building production SaaS applications.
- Strong full-stack development experience with modern JavaScript and TypeScript, plus advanced React experience.
- Strong backend development experience with Node.js, Python, Java, C#, or comparable server-side technology.
- Experience designing REST APIs, event-driven services, background jobs, asynchronous workflows, and relational and non-relational data models.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or another modern relational database and third-party, authentication, data, or enterprise integrations.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native development, preferably with AWS, as well as containers, deployment practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of automated unit, integration, API, component, and end-to-end testing strategies.
- Experience diagnosing distributed application issues using logs, metrics, traces, database analysis, and browser tooling.
- Working knowledge of application security, authorization, identity, secrets management, data protection, and secure coding.
- Experience with Git-based workflows, pull requests, code reviews, branching strategies, and automated quality checks.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, modular architecture, scalability, technical debt management, and maintainability.
- Nice-to-have experience with video, audio, media processing, creative tooling, animation, rendering, digital asset management, or browser-based motion graphics.
- Nice-to-have experience with AI platforms, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt orchestration, AI-generated media, message queues, event buses, serverless services, infrastructure as code, observability platforms, multi-tenant SaaS, or Java legacy modernization.
