Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end product capabilities spanning frontend applications, backend services, APIs, and databases.
- Translate product requirements and UX designs into scalable technical solutions.
- Lead the technical design of moderately complex and complex initiatives.
- Break large capabilities into executable technical components and development increments.
- Develop responsive and maintainable user interfaces using modern JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks.
- Design and implement backend services, application APIs, and business logic.
- Build and maintain integrations with enterprise platforms and third-party systems.
- Contribute to video creation and distribution capabilities.
- Identify performance, scalability, reliability, and security concerns.
- Write automated tests for various application components.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality.
- Diagnose and resolve complex production issues.
- Improve observability through structured logging and monitoring.
- Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, DevOps, and other engineers.
- Mentor mid-level engineers through technical guidance.
- Contribute to architectural standards and reusable platform capabilities.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate development.
- Participate in release readiness and incident response.
Requirements
- Approximately 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong full-stack development experience with modern JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Advanced experience with the React frontend framework.
- Strong backend development experience using Node.js, Python, Java, or C#.
- Experience designing and implementing REST APIs and event-driven services.
- Strong understanding of relational and non-relational data modeling.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or another modern relational database.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native application development, preferably within AWS.
- Experience with containers, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment practices.
- Strong understanding of automated testing strategies.
- Experience diagnosing distributed application issues.
- Working knowledge of application security and secure coding practices.
- Experience with Git-based development workflows.
