Responsibilities
- Write readable, maintainable, well-tested software and participate in code reviews.
- Join the on-call rotation to identify, triage, debug, and resolve issues across applications and platforms.
- Partner with product managers, designers, data, operations, and engineering teams to deliver complex features and products.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while explaining technical tradeoffs.
- Analyze internal systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
- Contribute to technical roadmaps and architecture decisions.
- Share knowledge through brown bags and tech talks and promote engineering best practices.
- Provide technical mentorship and feedback to junior engineers.
Requirements
- BS/MS or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software engineering industry experience.
- Solid knowledge of distributed systems and relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience designing, debugging, and operating fault-tolerant, highly available, large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies such as Docker or cri-o.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional, low-ego team.
