Base Salary
$158k - $208k/yr
Responsibilities
- Become the expert on the team’s business and technical domains.
- Lead the planning, execution, and release of complex technical projects.
- Collaborate with partners, product managers, designers, and engineers to solve problems and improve technology.
- Implement step-wise technical migrations of existing services and applications.
- Own small-to-medium features or infrastructure projects from technical design through completion with little guidance.
- Write stable, correct, modular, adaptable, and maintainable code while making steady progress independently.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with increasingly impactful accomplishments across a variety of technologies.
- Experience proposing, experimenting with, and iterating on technical approaches.
- Experience making technical contributions and improving software quality.
- Strong practical understanding of computer science concepts.
- Ability to write stable, correct, and maintainable code with little oversight.
- Bonus: experience supporting libraries and writing in Python and Golang.
- Bonus: experience owning observability stack tooling such as Grafana, BigQuery, and Kubernetes.
- Bonus: experience with data and engineering tooling, including discovery libraries, data replication, data transfer tools, and authentication and authorization libraries.
Benefits
- Hybrid work schedule in the New York City office with three in-office days per week, including Thursdays; the other two office days are flexible.
- Base pay of $158,400–$207,900 per year, plus company equity grants and annual performance bonuses.
