Base Salary
$204k - $310k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve enterprise identity systems covering organizations, groups, roles, SCIM provisioning, seat lifecycle management, and fine-grained authorization
- Define tenant isolation, policy evaluation, and access governance across experiments, datasets, models, and scientific workflows
- Design tenant-aware schemas, metadata systems, and scalable platform primitives for heterogeneous scientific data
- Architect tenant provisioning, usage metering, billing, data migration, compliance, and operational automation systems
- Build self-service and agentic operational workflows with strong safety guarantees
- Develop enterprise SDKs, MCP integrations, and AI-native external APIs for customers and third-party agents
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and architectural influence across platform engineering, infrastructure, security, AI/ML, and scientific application teams
- Own critical platform outcomes in a high-autonomy environment that ships weekly
Requirements
- 12+ years of software development experience focused on enterprise SaaS product development
- Deep expertise in authentication and authorization, including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML, plus multi-tenancy, RBAC, billing and metering, configuration systems, SDKs, and APIs
- Experience with cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS or GCP, event-driven systems, infrastructure-as-code, and containerized deployments
- Track record building enterprise platforms in high-growth environments
- Hands-on coding experience in Python, FastAPI, and async Python
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong cross-functional communication and architecture influence skills
- Practical experience with agentic systems and workflow automation in regulated environments is a bonus
- Experience with scientific or laboratory data platforms such as LIMS, ELN, or bioinformatics systems is a bonus
- Experience building self-service enterprise tooling and designing usable administrator experiences and APIs is a bonus
- Experience with SOC 2, HIPAA, GxP, FedRAMP, or ALCOA+ is a bonus
- Experience operating large-scale multi-tenant SaaS systems with strict isolation, reliability, and compliance requirements is a bonus
