Base Salary
$200k - $400k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build custom database and memory systems from scratch.
- Implement real-time LLM token state management at large scale.
- Develop custom Unix operating system distributions for humans and AI agents.
- Apply psychology and organisational behaviour insights to UX and product decisions.
- Pursue performance optimisations across the full stack.
- Work onsite five days per week in San Francisco.
Requirements
- Demonstrated focus on novel, overlooked, or technically unsolved problems.
- Ability to build large, complex, maintainable systems in roughly one-third the time most engineers consider possible.
- Proficiency in one or more of TypeScript, Rust, or Python.
- Experience with graph databases, flexible data pipelines, or ontological modelling.
- Comfort applying psychology and organisational behaviour insights to product and UX decisions.
- Top academic background or standout real-world experience; non-traditional backgrounds are welcome.
Benefits
- $200,000–$400,000 in annual cash compensation plus variable equity.
