Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritize high-impact problems that impede AWS software development.
  • Decompose complex builder problems into simple, scalable solutions.
  • Design, build, operate, and improve services and tools for AWS builder teams.
  • Collaborate with AWS Builder Acceleration, Amazon Software Builder Experience, and AWS engineering teams.
  • Deliver weekly improvements while advancing long-term transformation of the software development experience.
  • Contribute to the architecture and business use of AWS technologies and AI-powered builder experiences.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of non-internship design or architecture experience involving design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
  • At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • At least 1 year of Object-Oriented Design experience.
  • At least 3 years of programming with a modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design.
  • At least 4 years leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, architectures, code reviews, source control, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: experience building services using AWS products.
  • Preferred: experience developing, deploying, and managing AI products at scale.
