Base Salary
$90k - $158k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and modernize enterprise trading applications using Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
- Implement REST APIs, messaging solutions, enterprise integration patterns, asynchronous processing, and Kafka-based event-driven systems.
- Develop and optimize data access layers using Hibernate, Oracle Exadata, and PostgreSQL.
- Design applications for security, scalability, availability, resiliency, performance, and operational supportability.
- Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams on CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment automation.
- Investigate and resolve complex production issues through root-cause analysis and remediation.
- Partner with business, architecture, and global technology teams on strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building enterprise applications with Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
- Experience developing modern web applications with ReactJS.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, and functional programming concepts.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing microservices, enterprise integration patterns, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
- Strong experience with Kafka, messaging platforms, and asynchronous processing patterns.
- Experience designing and developing cloud-native applications using AWS services.
- Understanding of application security, secure software development, scalability, resiliency, performance optimization, and high availability.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and with observability and production support practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Exposure to AI Engineering, Data Engineering, Python application development, data pipelines, analytics platforms, AI/ML integration, and automation solutions is preferred.
- Familiarity with capital markets, trading, and investment management systems is required.
- Experience with Agile development environments and globally distributed teams is valued.
