Responsibilities

Work alongside engineers, developers, investment professionals, and analytics teams to develop software and value-added tools.
Solve real-world business problems involving investment decisions, portfolio risk, and client service.
Use programming, data, emerging technologies, and AI-powered tools to drive solutions and better outcomes.
Explain technical concepts to stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
Participate in training, mentorship, technical forums, networking, social events, and volunteer activities.

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a similar major.
Be enrolled at a university during the Fall 2027 semester and be able to begin full-time employment in Austin between January 2028 and August 2028.
Maintain a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale, or equivalent, at an accredited four-year college or university.
Be fluent in English in speaking, reading, and writing.
Demonstrate programming skills or experience with Python, Java, C#, C++, SQL, RDBMS, and data warehouses.
Have strong problem-solving, ownership, interpersonal, independent-work, and teamwork skills.
Demonstrate curiosity and experience using emerging technologies and AI tools in work or school projects.

10-week summer internship running from early June through mid-August.
Austin, Texas office location with a transition bonus to assist with relocation.
PIMCO Fundamentals Training and PIMCO Technology University Intern Bootcamp.
Supervisor, mentor, peer, and senior-leader guidance throughout the internship.
