Responsibilities

  • Set technical direction and resolve cross-baseline architectural issues across SMF, UTAS, TestNet, and ASPEN.
  • Lead software integration and installation-package quality for the classified APG laboratory running Windows Army Gold Master.
  • Own shared user-interface architecture, component libraries, interaction patterns, accessibility standards, and front-end performance across browser-based products.
  • Design and govern classified GitLab delivery pipelines, STIG compliance, hardening, information-assurance approval workflows, and cross-domain delivery practices.
  • Review junior engineers’ work, provide technical leadership, and maintain development-environment compatibility with the APG laboratory.
  • Architect ARAT test-data collection, modeling, archiving, retrieval, data contracts, governance, and cross-domain movement.
  • Set analytics, search-relevance, suggestive-analytics, machine-learning, and model-validation strategies for ASPEN.
  • Define cloud, network, hosting, segmentation, identity, RMF control inheritance, and security architecture for hybrid on-premises and cloud services.
  • Advise the Government on cloud and data-platform investment, capacity optimization, cross-domain distribution, and zero-trust architecture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 9 years of relevant professional software engineering experience.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance at the time of application and ability to work with classified systems.
  • Ability to work hybrid at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, with on-site presence for classified and laboratory work.
  • Experience with C# or Python, Angular, GitLab CI/CD, REST API design, testing, software architecture, secure coding, and classified-enclave deployment.
  • Experience with DevSecOps pipeline design, STIG remediation, SCAP scanning, secrets and artifact management, RMF/eMASS artifacts, and Windows/Linux administration.
  • Experience with SQL, relational modeling, ETL/ELT, data lakes and warehouses, telemetry data, data governance, and cross-domain data movement.
  • Experience with statistical modeling, machine-learning development and evaluation, recommender or suggestive analytics, NLP, feature engineering, explainability, and MLOps.
  • Preferred certifications include CompTIA Security+ CE or SecurityX, CISSP, AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, Databricks Data Engineer, AWS Data Engineer, AWS Machine Learning Engineer, SnowPro, CAP, CCSP, Azure Solutions Architect, Certified Scrum Developer, IAAP WAS, and Red Hat RHCE.
  • Preferred experience includes classified-enclave deployment, Authority to Operate pipelines, shared design systems, multi-domain data platforms, DoD Cloud Computing SRG, and zero-trust reference architectures.
  • A signed nondisclosure agreement and required DoD and Army security training are required before or at the start of performance.
