Responsibilities
- Participate in Agile planning, grooming, coding, design sessions, and acceptance-criteria refinement.
- Develop and maintain Java/Spring microservice cloud applications and Angular web applications for the loyalty platform.
- Work with API, batch, queue-based, and other platform integration points.
- Build configuration and business-logic documentation and promote effective coding practices and patterns.
- Support code reviews, peer collaboration, coaching, mentoring, estimation, and scope definition.
- Collaborate with product owners, internal groups, and third parties to solve problems and improve processes.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience designing and developing applications with Java and Spring, preferably JDK 11+ and Spring Boot.
- At least 3 years of front-end web application development experience.
- At least 1 year of Angular application development experience, preferably version 10+.
- At least 1 year of experience developing RESTful services using JSON.
- Experience developing microservice cloud applications using Oracle, AWS, or Azure.
- At least 1 year of experience writing SQL multi-table queries, inserts, and updates, preferably with Oracle or PostgreSQL.
- Experience tuning SQL statements with execution explain plans.
- Experience with message queues such as RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or Kafka Streams.
- Experience building Docker containers and configuring Kubernetes clusters, including kubectl and Docker for Desktop.
- Experience with Bitbucket/Git, Gradle, and Bamboo build-management tools.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with loyalty, accounting, or banking applications is relevant.
