Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a software engineering team through hands-on technical direction, architecture alignment, code reviews, and developer development.
- Design and evolve horizontally scalable, cloud-native services targeting 99.999% uptime and eliminating single points of failure.
- Build resilient event-driven systems using high-throughput distributed messaging for concurrent data and media streams.
- Architect event-sourced services and CQRS-style read/write models with deterministic, replayable state and recovery.
- Drive security-by-design, including encryption, key management, authentication, authorization, and secure handling of sensitive traffic.
- Develop backend systems in Go, C++, Java, or C# while establishing quality and validation guardrails for AI-generated code.
- Oversee containerization, service orchestration, secure service-to-service communication, serialization, and low-latency networking.
- Troubleshoot distributed-tracing and architectural bottlenecks and optimize services for sub-second responses and high concurrency.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams on CI/CD execution and delivery of critical features.
- Champion AI-assisted coding tools and agentic development workflows with appropriate production-safety controls.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership or team-lead capacity.
- At least 5 years of hands-on enterprise software development in Go, C++, Java, or C#, with Go strongly preferred.
- Proven experience designing and operating horizontally scalable, event-driven distributed systems using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
- Practical experience with event sourcing, CQRS architectures, deterministic state machines, and replay-based recovery.
- Production experience deploying, scaling, and managing services with Kubernetes or Docker.
- Deep knowledge of fault tolerance, circuit breaking, load balancing, and high-availability data replication.
- Working knowledge of applied cryptography, key management, TLS/mTLS, and secure-by-design principles.
- Strong expertise designing RESTful APIs and asynchronous event schemas with OpenAPI and AsyncAPI.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to explain distributed-systems concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with formal specifications, compliance-driven verification, LLM-backed developer tools, autonomous coding agents, 3GPP or ETSI standards, MCx, FRMCS, real-time media, TCP/UDP optimization, VoIP, WebSockets, gRPC, hybrid or private cloud, Terraform, and critical-infrastructure or public-safety systems.
