Responsibilities

Design, maintain, and optimize ComfyUI workflows for audiovisual generative AI model deployment.
Create templated workflows, custom nodes, and pipelines tailored to production and creative needs.
Evaluate and integrate emerging open- and closed-source generative AI tools, models, and deployment platforms.
Collaborate with research, pipeline, creative, and DevOps teams to test workflows and transition them into scalable, cross-platform solutions.
Maintain and improve DNEG’s custom ComfyUI environment and contribute to internal platform development.
Set up testing environments for model inference and training and test photorealistic generative models.
Train and onboard artists in ComfyUI and related generative workflow tools.

Proven expertise creating custom ComfyUI workflows, nodes, and pipelines using Python and JavaScript.
Experience maintaining and deploying custom ComfyUI environments.
Experience integrating AI tools and techniques into larger production pipelines.
Strong understanding of model deployment platforms and the ability to evaluate new tools and frameworks.
Hands-on experience with Conda, Git, and dependency management for model inference and training environments.
Proficiency with Python and PyTorch, including adapting and extending existing codebases.
Experience collaborating with developers, technical artists, and creative teams.
Professional experience testing photoreal generative models, preferably for video or time-based outputs.
Engagement with open- and closed-source generative AI developments and the wider generative AI community.
Ability to mentor and onboard artists in ComfyUI and generative workflow usage.
Experience in pipeline, R&D, or technical art roles within VFX, animation, or related creative technology environments is preferred.
A VFX, visual arts, or digital production background with a strong technical foundation is preferred.
Familiarity with Runway, Kling, Lumalabs, or similar AI-driven visual tools is preferred.
Awareness of emerging standards for ethical and transparent AI-assisted production is preferred.
