Forward Deployed Engineer
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Develop and deploy AI agents and experiences that take actions in enterprise customer environments.
- Design agent intelligence including prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integrations using Salesforce’s Agentic AI platform and current LLM techniques.
- Own technical components end-to-end from architecture selection through production deployment, validation, and observability.
- Build and integrate data pipelines using Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
- Build and maintain agent performance dashboards and customer KPI reporting.
- Contribute to proofs of concept and MVPs, co-build with customers and partners, and share implementation best practices.
- Surface platform gaps, edge cases, and field insights to senior engineers and product teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering or technical delivery experience, including at least one production system.
- Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience in consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Fluency in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.
- Deep understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Ability to collaborate with sales teams and customer architects while delivering quality code and evaluating AI outputs rigorously.
- Willingness to experiment with emerging AI tools, models, and frameworks.
- Salesforce platform experience or certifications, familiarity with LangChain and LlamaIndex, cloud data platform experience, and specialist AI delivery experience are preferred.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
