Base Salary
$167k - $317k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of firmware for distributed embedded systems with multiple microcontrollers.
- Develop bare-metal and RTOS low-level software, drivers, application modules, and real-time software components for energy management and powertrain controls.
- Design software interfaces, multicore timing-critical architectures, system-level power requirements, and low-power operating modes.
- Perform hardware bring-up, bench and HIL debugging, hardware validation, labcar testing, profiling, and code optimization.
- Create testing methodologies, automation frameworks, test plans, and SIL/HIL validation for firmware functionality, stability, and performance.
- Design software compliant with ISO26262 and collaborate with electrical architecture, system integration, and platform software teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, exceptional-ability experience, or equivalent.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in embedded design.
- High proficiency in Embedded C and experience delivering real-time embedded software.
- Strong understanding of bare-metal and RTOS implementations, multicore 32-bit embedded controllers, peripherals, and controller architecture.
- Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up, system debugging, and code optimization.
- Understanding of software build infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tracking systems.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals, including circuit analysis and design.
- Preferred experience with low-level driver development, RTOS integration, Bazel, SCons, CMake, PCB hardware components and analysis tools, and Python testing scripts.
- Strong software design, maintainability, collaboration, communication, and technical problem-solving skills.
