Base Salary
$150k - $284k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the architecture and roadmap for real-time drivers, embedded RTOS configurations, and shared platform middleware.
- Develop and optimize low-level drivers, middleware, memory layouts, and common libraries for automotive ECUs.
- Architect and implement CAN, LIN, automotive Ethernet, SPI, and I2C networking stacks.
- Apply ISO 26262 functional safety principles, MISRA C guidelines, and ASIL requirements to platform software.
- Collaborate with systems, application, hardware, safety, and V&V teams on platform and hardware-software interface design.
- Establish embedded coding and safety-critical software practices and mentor engineers across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
- Strong hands-on Embedded C development experience with adherence to MISRA C coding standards.
- Working knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety processes for embedded software architecture and development.
- Hands-on experience developing and debugging CAN, LIN, and other automotive communication protocols.
- Familiarity with embedded debugging tools such as JTAG and GDB.
- Proven experience configuring embedded RTOS and developing low-level drivers and middleware for automotive-grade microcontrollers.
- Familiarity with Renode, Bazel, CANoe, CANalyzer, and CANape is preferred.
- Experience with real-time control systems and additional automotive networking interfaces such as automotive Ethernet, SPI, and I2C is preferred.
