Base Salary

$150k - $284k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Define, design, and develop complex software features for next-generation Ford electric vehicles.
  • Collaborate with hardware, systems, integration, software, and UI/UX teams on requirements, functional test cases, and product development issues.
  • Lead diagnosis and improvement of existing vehicle software features to enhance customer experience.
  • Develop diagnostic tooling and interfaces between vehicle access components.
  • Integrate software features into controller codebases.
  • Use data-driven analysis tools to verify and diagnose vehicle software in the field.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Hands-on embedded systems development and troubleshooting experience.
  • Programming experience with C, C++, and Python.
  • Experience with real-time operating systems, Linux, and concurrent systems.
  • Strong documentation, writing, and communication skills.
  • Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, automotive and wireless networking experience, automotive systems knowledge, Vector and Intrepid tools, MISRA, AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, vendor negotiation, and Yocto Linux experience.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is available.
