Base Salary
$235k - $355k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build Starlink security infrastructure, including cryptographic and other security-critical services.
- Develop security features for Starlink routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites.
- Design security into factory processes and provide supporting network services.
- Maintain production systems and improve their security posture through direct implementation and recommendations to other teams.
- Build prototypes and identify, design, and test security improvements.
- Support the mission of providing secure and reliable Internet to underserved communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline and 8+ years of professional security software development experience, or 10+ years of professional security software development experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with at least one software development language, such as Python, C++, or Golang.
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise-scale infrastructure.
- Preferred experience contributing security improvements to complex systems and working with Trusted Platform Modules and Hardware Security Modules.
- Preferred understanding of network protocols, including the TCP/IP stack and UDP-based protocols.
- Preferred advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline.
- Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, independent work, adaptability, and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Must satisfy applicable ITAR work authorization requirements.
Benefits
- Base salary range is $235,000.00–$355,000.00 annually, with potential long-term incentives, long-term cash awards, discretionary bonuses, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan participation.
