Base Salary
$213k - $377k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and evolution of security architecture across applications, infrastructure, enterprise systems, identity platforms, and detection and response capabilities.
- Drive complex, cross-functional security initiatives that reduce risk at scale in partnership with engineering, product, and operations.
- Establish technical strategy and long-term roadmaps across security domains such as application security, IAM, infrastructure security, abuse prevention, and detection and response.
- Define secure design patterns, threat models, and engineering standards to address systemic risks.
- Influence platform and product architecture to build in security, resilience, and scalability by default.
- Write production-quality code and build automation to improve security at scale.
- Mentor senior engineers through design reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field such as computer science or engineering, or equivalent years of experience.
- 9+ years of post-bachelor’s industry experience, or a master’s degree plus 8+ years of post-graduate security experience, or a PhD plus 5 years of post-graduate security experience.
- At least 1 year of technical leadership experience or experience acting as a domain expert for a technical organization.
- Deep expertise in secure system design, threat modeling, and risk reduction.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native and distributed systems security.
- Experience identifying and mitigating systemic vulnerabilities.
- Ability to influence architecture and technical direction across teams without direct authority.
- Preferred: experience setting security strategy for large-scale products, platforms, or enterprise environments.
- Preferred: strategic thinking, technical roadmap development, and leadership of multi-team initiatives.
- Preferred: experience collaborating with executive leadership and mentoring senior engineers.
