Responsibilities
- Improve the intelligent, AI-driven scheduler’s workload placement and balancing capabilities.
- Explore methods to increase useful work from existing compute, memory, and power resources.
- Build tools that improve platform reliability and support increasingly self-managing infrastructure.
- Contribute to one focused project involving large-scale computing, scheduling, or infrastructure automation.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Able to commit to a 12-week internship during Summer 2027.
- Experience coding in Go, C++, Python, Java, or C#.
- Preferred: intent to return to the degree program after the internship.
- Preferred: fundamentals in systems, distributed computing, or software engineering demonstrated through internships, work, research, competitions, or projects.
- Preferred: curiosity about large-scale or AI/ML infrastructure; exposure to Linux, containers, or Kubernetes is a plus.
- Preferred: creativity and quick problem-solving skills.
