Responsibilities
- Design and build high-performance, reliable, and scalable systems powering Mercura’s AI products.
- Own features end-to-end from architecture and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Develop scalable APIs and backend systems supporting AI capabilities and product growth.
- Translate real-world user workflows into product and engineering decisions in collaboration with users and the product team.
- Iterate rapidly and ship pragmatic improvements in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Contribute to LLM engineering and AI system integration within the product.
- Help shape system architecture, deployment strategy, and engineering tooling across the stack.
Requirements
- Strong experience in full-stack software engineering using React, TypeScript, and Python.
- Proven track record architecting and building complex, production-grade software systems.
- Strong understanding of production performance, reliability, and scaling challenges.
- Experience with Docker, cloud infrastructure such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, and Terraform.
- Experience integrating LLMs, AI systems, or large-scale data pipelines into production software is a plus.
- Ability to develop ideas and drive execution with minimal guidance.
- Strong product mindset, end-to-end problem-solving ability, and willingness to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Willingness to work in person in Munich with a higher intensity than a 9-to-5 job.
