Base Salary

$69k - $131k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, test, debug, and potentially maintain embedded software applications across the software development lifecycle.
  • Design solutions for complex technical system and software integration problems in collaboration with software and systems engineers.
  • Support military and commercial programs from concept and requirements through design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance.
  • Develop and test software for aircraft operating systems interfacing with displays, navigation, mission planning, and other avionics systems.
  • Apply software optimization and timing analysis techniques to support real-time operation and synchronization.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and deliver assigned work on schedule.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a STEM degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with software requirements, design, development, integration, and testing.
  • Experience developing and testing software with C++, C#, Ada, Python, or closely related languages in a Windows environment.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts, including classes, inheritance, polymorphism, and encapsulation.
  • Experience with Git, software debugging tools, software systems design, integration, and management.
  • Experience with DevOps and DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and software development methodologies.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Preferred experience with embedded high-criticality RTOS platforms, including Green Hills Software INTEGRITY or Wind River VxWorks.
  • Preferred experience with safety-critical software and documentation processes using MIL-STD-882E, DO-178, DO-254, DO-330, DO-331, or DO-332.
  • Preferred experience with Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, TCP/IP, UDP, serial, USB, PCI, DDS, TSS, ZeroMQ, NetMQ, OpenGL, VAPS XT, GL Studio, or SCADE.
  • Preferred experience with Wireshark, AltaView, Azure DevOps, Jira, software configuration management, parallel programming, and Agile development environments.
  • Strong analytical, written, oral presentation, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
