Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage secure AWS and GCP cloud deployments using Terraform.
- Deploy and manage internal and third-party security products in Kubernetes environments.
- Secure GitOps workflows using Argo CD, Flux, and Helm charts.
- Build security tooling and services using Go and TypeScript, with Python for automation where appropriate.
- Identify, analyze, and remediate cloud misconfigurations.
- Advise engineering teams on secure cloud architecture.
- Build and optimize cloud-native detection rules and alerting pipelines for suspicious activity in cloud and container workloads.
- Embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines and secure service mesh environments when applicable.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in security engineering, cloud security, or platform engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience securing production workloads in AWS and GCP.
- Strong experience designing and securing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes security, including Helm troubleshooting and GitOps workflows.
- Strong programming skills in Go and TypeScript, with Python automation experience.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) certifications are required.
- AWS Certified Security Specialty, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, and HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate certifications are preferred.
- Experience with policy-as-code frameworks such as Open Policy Agent (OPA) is desirable.
- Experience securing Istio service mesh environments and a background in software or platform engineering are desirable.
