Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage secure AWS and GCP cloud deployments using Terraform.
- Deploy and manage internal and third-party security products in Kubernetes environments.
- Use Argo CD, Flux, and Helm charts within GitOps-based security workflows.
- Build security tooling and services in Go and TypeScript, with Python for automation where appropriate.
- Identify, analyze, and remediate cloud misconfigurations.
- Advise engineering teams on secure cloud architecture.
- Build and optimize cloud-native detection rules and alerting pipelines for cloud and container workloads.
- Embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines and secure service mesh environments when applicable.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in security engineering, cloud security, or platform engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience securing production workloads in AWS and GCP.
- Strong experience designing and securing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes security, Helm troubleshooting, and GitOps workflows.
- Strong programming skills in Go and TypeScript, with Python automation experience.
- Experience embedding security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
- Required Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) certifications.
- Preferred AWS Certified Security Specialty, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, or HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate certification.
- Experience with policy-as-code frameworks such as Open Policy Agent and service mesh environments such as Istio is desirable.
- A background in software or platform engineering before moving into security is desirable.
