Responsibilities

  • Resolve customer issues through case tickets, live chat, and phone support.
  • Guide customers through embedded hardware, firmware, and software design challenges.
  • Analyze root causes, electrical schematics, and hardware-debugging results.
  • Create example source code, knowledge-base articles, application notes, chatbot content, reports, and other technical resources.
  • Collaborate with product engineers, applications engineers, field support, peers, and sales teams to improve customer outcomes.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training for customers and internal teams.
  • Contribute to team infrastructure and AI initiatives while staying current on industry standards, product roadmaps, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2.5-5 years of hands-on experience in embedded firmware, hardware design, or embedded systems development.
  • Strong programming skills in C and C++ for embedded applications.
  • Solid understanding of embedded hardware, firmware, and software design principles.
  • Experience debugging hardware with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other electronic lab tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, and customer-support skills.
  • Familiarity with AI and machine-learning technologies and their application to technical support or engineering workflows.
  • Preferred experience with Microchip products, development tools, networking protocols, Ethernet, networking technologies, or connected embedded systems.
