Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, integration, adoption, and ongoing maturity of enterprise CI/CD capabilities.
- Develop reusable pipelines, workflows, automation templates, reference implementations, documentation, governance controls, and self-service delivery capabilities.
- Integrate source control, cloud platforms, security tooling, testing frameworks, observability solutions, developer tools, and internal developer platform capabilities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and consultant for software delivery automation, pipeline capabilities, engineering delivery challenges, and process improvements.
- Provide technical leadership, training, mentoring, code reviews, root cause analysis, and guidance to technology teams.
- Partner with application engineering, cloud, security, architecture, operations, quality engineering, and other teams to deliver and improve platform capabilities.
- Apply product management principles by gathering developer feedback, prioritizing capabilities, measuring adoption, and improving developer experience outcomes.
- Operate, monitor, support, and continuously improve enterprise CI/CD capabilities and software delivery reliability.
- Define engineering standards, governance controls, delivery roadmaps, capability assessments, project proposals, estimates, and proof-of-concept activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or a related field, plus at least five years of development experience, or nine years of related and applicable experience.
- Experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise CI/CD capabilities using GitHub Actions or similar technologies.
- Experience implementing CI/CD for AWS-based applications and infrastructure, including build, deployment, configuration, environment, and release automation.
- Experience developing reusable pipelines, workflows, automation templates, self-service capabilities, and integrations with cloud platforms, security tooling, testing frameworks, observability solutions, and developer tools.
- Experience defining software delivery roadmaps, prioritizing engineering capabilities, balancing stakeholder needs, and driving adoption across engineering teams.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, configuration as code, or policy as code practices and software supply chain security controls.
- Demonstrated software development lifecycle experience, analytical problem-solving, root cause analysis, attention to detail, and data-driven solution evaluation.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, build stakeholder relationships, coach and mentor team members, and lead cross-team technical initiatives.
- Experience working in Agile product delivery or software engineering environments is preferred.
