Base Salary

$85k - $193k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop low-latency, highly available services supporting internal engineering teams and millions of Ford customers.
  • Build and deliver Ford’s global software release, deployment, and Over The Air vehicle update capabilities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver code aligned with technical vision, strategy, timelines, and roadmaps.
  • Own code quality through code reviews, testing, solution collaboration, application design, and customer-needs analysis.
  • Drive technical initiatives and help move projects to successful completion in a rapidly changing, technically and regulatorily constrained environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience and education.
  • At least 3 years of full-stack engineering experience using object-oriented languages, Java/Spring Framework, C++, or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years developing REST- or queue-based interfaces and APIs with technologies such as Node.js, Go, or Python.
  • At least 3 years working with relational or NoSQL databases, database design, and SQL queries.
  • At least 3 years of experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, or AWS.
  • At least 3 years implementing front-end user interfaces with frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, Docker and Kubernetes knowledge, distributed microservice architecture experience, GitHub Actions or Jenkins experience, Open Application Model and infrastructure-as-code knowledge, SaaS development experience, and experience in multidisciplinary organizations.
