Base Salary
$206k - $258k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy hardware-abstraction middleware for safety-critical self-driving features.
- Develop software for Linux and real-time operating systems including QNX and FreeRTOS.
- Build software for distributed, heterogeneous systems using multiple processors and hardware engines.
- Develop tools for software development, debugging, testing, code generation, test automation, and fault injection.
- Contribute to software design and code reviews and support other developers with technical decisions.
- Participate in requirements, architecture, design, development, quality assurance, deployment, and maintenance across the software lifecycle.
- Coordinate with application development and cross-functional teams to enable middleware integration.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience developing production-grade software from requirements gathering through implementation and maintenance.
- Strong C++ programming skills and familiarity with at least one scripting language such as Bash, Lua, or Python.
- Experience in automotive or robotics software development.
- Experience developing software for x86_64 and ARM architectures and heterogeneous systems with hardware accelerators such as GPUs, ISPs, and encoders.
- Experience using or building libraries for hardware accelerators, including CUDA, TensorRT, or OpenCL.
- Experience contributing to middleware or building abstraction layers.
- Familiarity with OpenCV, OpenVX, or relevant acceleration frameworks for perception applications.
- Experience contributing to software tooling for code auto-generation, test automation, or fault injection.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional technical efforts.
- Motivation to take software from R&D through product development.
