Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex software applications using clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Lead code reviews and oversee technical delivery, code quality, knowledge sharing, and engineering standards.
- Lead the technical direction of products and domains, including delivery, application health, technical debt remediation, and technology asset governance.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting, performance tuning, reliability improvements, and resolution of complex technical issues.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, processes, and software development best practices.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, constructive feedback, and guidance to engineers, including early-career engineers.
- Manage task allocation and technical delivery and line-manage one or more junior software engineers where applicable.
- Communicate with stakeholders, understand requirements, provide updates, and influence strategic decisions.
- Drive innovation through technical communities, emerging technologies, continuous learning, and opportunities benefiting the organization.
- Apply AI concepts and tools to solve routine problems with minimal guidance.
Requirements
- 15–20 years of experience.
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages.
- Deep system design expertise and broad technical understanding of the ecosystem supporting the domain.
- Strong understanding of security principles and secure coding practices.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, prioritization, critical-thinking, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to lead technical delivery, mentor engineers, manage priorities, and provide constructive performance feedback.
- Ability to apply traditional and agile best practices to plan, prioritize, and deliver work efficiently.
