Responsibilities
- Develop tooling and automation in Python or Go to manage, scale, and monitor distributed data stores.
- Design, build, and optimize distributed data stores for scalability, fault tolerance, and high availability.
- Develop partitioning, clustering, and sharding strategies for large-scale global systems.
- Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams on the integration and operation of distributed systems.
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and resolve issues in mission-critical production environments.
- Develop and maintain tools and libraries for managing distributed data stores, automating routine tasks, and ensuring consistent deployments.
Requirements
- Experience working with distributed data stores such as Cassandra, Redis, ClickHouse, or similar technologies.
- Solid programming experience with Python or Go, including reliable infrastructure automation and developer tooling.
- Familiarity with partitioning, replication, consistency models, CAP theorem, sharding, and consistent hashing.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in large-scale production distributed systems.
- Willingness to take ownership, learn continuously, and collaborate effectively.
- Availability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation once or twice per month.
