Responsibilities
- Code, develop, test, deploy, and maintain applications and automations supporting data curators, VMM developers, traders, and researchers.
- Build and maintain centralized tooling for ingesting, curating, and exposing fundamental options data.
- Contribute to the architectural design of a young project and build systems capable of serving petabytes of data globally.
- Develop reliable, high-performance software while balancing production speed, quality, testability, latency, throughput, scalability, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues while taking ownership of applications and solving problems proactively.
Requirements
- More than four years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- Strong programming skills in Java, with experience in recent Java versions highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux.
- Strong Python programming skills, especially for data-related work, highly preferred.
- Experience with data analysis and building data platforms highly preferred.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and take full ownership of applications.
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, creative problem-solving, and proactive working skills.
- Prior trading or capital-markets knowledge is not required; curiosity and willingness to learn are expected.
