Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Adyen’s distributed, high-performance platform.
- Own software functionality from initial design through production launch.
- Participate in the full development cycle, including software design, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Identify and improve platform components to increase robustness, scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate across teams and time zones, review code, and incorporate feedback.
- Deliver production code early and iterate on functionality that impacts businesses and shoppers.
Requirements
- Experience with Java, web services, REST APIs, SQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience deploying high-throughput and highly reliable services.
- Ability to take ownership, evaluate tradeoffs, balance delivery speed against technical debt, and maintain technical and product quality.
- Strong communication skills, including explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Nice to have experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Elasticsearch.
