Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Adyen’s distributed, high-performance platform.
- Own features through the full lifecycle from initial design through production release.
- Improve platform robustness, scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Deploy high-throughput and highly reliable services.
- Review code, collaborate across teams and time zones, and incorporate feedback.
- Deliver production code early that impacts businesses and shoppers.
Requirements
- Experience with Java, web services, REST APIs, SQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience building and deploying high-throughput, highly reliable services.
- Ability to take ownership, evaluate tradeoffs, and balance delivery speed against technical debt.
- Strong communication skills, including explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and maintain a strong focus on technical and product quality.
- Preferred experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Elasticsearch.
