Base Salary
$101k - $167k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop Scala web services supporting user experiences and geospatial workflows.
- Design and implement secure, performant, scalable, fault-tolerant, and maintainable technical solutions.
- Contribute to code reviews and write unit tests to maintain a high-quality codebase.
- Implement functionality in other areas of ArcGIS Workflow Manager using C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python as needed.
- Participate in design reviews, planning, feature reviews, and retrospectives within the agile development process.
- Keep development skills current across programming languages, development methodologies, and technologies.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a similar position with comparable responsibilities.
- Professional software development experience using Java or Scala.
- Familiarity with modern REST web service design and development practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Preferred familiarity with Scala, actor systems, and the sbt build tool.
- Preferred experience with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, or C#.
- Preferred experience with ArcGIS REST services, ArcGIS Enterprise, or GIS and mapping software development.
- A master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field is preferred.
- Strong collaboration, written and verbal communication, critical-thinking, problem-solving, analytical, time-management, and organizational skills.
