Base Salary
$170k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and drive secure architecture strategies across cloud, desktop, mobile, and embedded software platforms.
- Embed secure-by-design principles into engineering processes through threat modeling, architecture reviews, and risk assessments.
- Partner with software engineering leaders to integrate cybersecurity into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows.
- Establish product security standards, reference architectures, and engineering guidelines aligned with industry frameworks.
- Mentor engineering teams and architects on secure development practices and cybersecurity trends.
- Provide cross-functional technical leadership to reduce cybersecurity risk while maintaining development velocity.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 15+ years of experience in software architecture, cybersecurity engineering, or product security within complex technical environments.
- Deep expertise in secure software design, application security, and modern software development practices.
- Experience with threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, risk-based security decisions, and cybersecurity integration across the software development lifecycle.
- Ability to influence engineering organizations through technical leadership rather than direct people management.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Preferred experience in medical devices, healthcare technology, or other regulated and safety-critical industries.
- Preferred familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, OWASP, or similar cybersecurity frameworks.
- Preferred experience with cloud-native architectures, embedded systems, or hybrid software ecosystems.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, or equivalent are preferred.
- Preferred enterprise or multi-product architecture strategy leadership experience.
