Responsibilities
- Architect and implement Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform across on-premises data centers and public clouds, including multi-cluster and hybrid topologies.
- Design and maintain RHEL standard operating environments, hardened images, patching baselines, and lifecycle management with Red Hat Satellite.
- Build infrastructure automation and GitOps workflows using Ansible Automation Platform, Argo CD, and OpenShift GitOps.
- Design platform services such as ingress, service mesh, API gateway integration, container registries, secrets management, and certificate lifecycle management.
- Support production operations through cluster upgrades, capacity management, performance tuning, incident and problem management, observability, automated remediation, and operational runbooks.
- Enable API and microservices workloads with high availability, mTLS, OAuth 2.0, rate limiting, consent management, CI/CD pipelines, and appropriate environment strategies.
- Implement security, risk, audit, and regulatory controls, including compliance-as-code, vulnerability management, patch management, and automated scanning.
- Participate in client workshops, design authority sessions, technical deep-dives, proposals, solution estimates, demonstrations, proofs of concept, and architecture roadmap development.
- Produce architecture designs, architecture decision records, operating models, migration roadmaps, control documentation, and operational evidence.
- Contribute reusable assets, reference architectures, knowledge sharing, and coaching to grow EY’s cloud and Red Hat capability.
Requirements
- At least five years of relevant experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, cloud engineering, or solution architecture, including hands-on Red Hat OpenShift delivery and operations.
- Strong knowledge of RHEL, OpenShift, Ansible Automation Platform, and Red Hat Satellite.
- Experience with hybrid environments spanning on-premises infrastructure and at least one public cloud platform such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Solid Kubernetes knowledge covering networking, storage, role-based access control, and admission control.
- Experience applying security, risk, audit, or compliance controls in enterprise or regulated environments.
- Understanding of API and microservices security patterns, including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and mTLS.
- Automation and scripting skills using Ansible, Bash, or Python; Terraform knowledge is advantageous.
- Strong communication, structured problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Red Hat certifications are strongly preferred; cloud or architecture certifications such as Azure, AWS, Red Hat, or TOGAF are advantageous.
- Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is advantageous.
- Experience with Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management, Advanced Cluster Security, OpenShift Service Mesh, Quay, OpenShift Virtualization, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, or API management platforms such as 3scale, Apigee, Kong, or Azure API Management is advantageous.
- Experience in professional services, systems integration, or technology consulting, including RFP responses, solution estimates, demonstrations, or client presentations, is advantageous.
