Base Salary
$176k - $308k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write highly scalable software with strong concurrency and memory utilization practices.
- Develop data management strategies focused on scalability, efficiency, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data-related initiatives.
- Investigate challenging data problems, including data loss detection and recovery.
- Monitor and optimize data performance and implement improvements.
- Work with distributed storage systems and Kubernetes-based deployments.
- Apply AI-assisted development tools with sound judgment regarding guardrails and process.
- Promote data best practices, security standards, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience with a bachelor's degree, 5+ years with a master's degree, 3+ years with a PhD, or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in Java, data structures and algorithms, concurrency, and parallel programming concepts.
- Working knowledge of databases, data modeling, and data storage technologies.
- Strong relational database experience with large-scale data.
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and hands-on Kubernetes service deployment experience is a strong plus.
- Working knowledge of S3, Apache Iceberg, cloud-based systems, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with the ServiceNow platform is a plus.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript is beneficial.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and related guardrails or processes is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
