Base Salary

$59k - $139k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Complete three eight-month rotational assignments across RTX geographic locations, business units, and software engineering teams.
  • Deliver software applications and systems design, hands-on coding, testing, implementation, and technical documentation.
  • Take ownership of development deliverables and software codebases.
  • Collaborate with hardware, systems, and program management teams to define software requirements and optimize system deployment.
  • Present technical reviews, code demonstrations, and engineering data to stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field by the program start date.
  • Relevant internship, co-op, or professional experience in software engineering, embedded development, source code development, testing and implementation, or technical documentation.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages, software development tools, or testing frameworks such as Python, C++, Java, or C#.
  • Coursework or experience in computing fundamentals, embedded, operating or real-time systems, data structures and algorithms, digital logic, computer architecture, or communication systems.
  • Willingness and ability to relocate across the United States for three distinct eight-month assignments.
  • Preferred qualifications include an active U.S. government secret clearance, MBSE exposure including Cameo or SysML, static code analysis, secure or safety-critical software experience, CI/CD, test automation, automated software verification, and prior RTX internship or co-op experience.
