Responsibilities
- Design and document scalable, reliable application architectures across on-premises systems and cloud platforms.
- Analyze application portfolios and recommend modernization, cloud migration, refactoring, and architectural improvements.
- Architect integrations involving Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle databases, cloud applications, APIs, middleware, and heterogeneous enterprise systems.
- Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting, implementation guidance, and developer mentoring.
- Incorporate security, compliance, performance, availability, disaster recovery, encryption, access control, caching, load balancing, and failover into solution designs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, business analysts, project managers, IT leadership, vendors, and external partners to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Act as architecture owner during IT projects, including estimating architectural work, leading proofs of concept, monitoring implementation alignment, and overseeing documentation.
- Establish technical standards and best practices while evaluating emerging cloud, Oracle, DevSecOps, and software architecture technologies.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Typically 8+ years of software engineering or architecture experience, including at least a couple of years in a senior application design or architecture capacity.
- Proven Oracle E-Business Suite experience in an architectural or senior development role, including full lifecycle implementations or major upgrades and knowledge of Financials, Project Billing and Costing, and HCM modules.
- Knowledge of the Oracle EBS technical stack, including Oracle Database, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms/Reports, Workflow, customizations, data migrations, and interface tools.
- Hands-on experience designing and deploying applications on Oracle Cloud and/or Microsoft Azure, including cloud compute, storage, databases, networking, serverless functions, and messaging services.
- Experience with multi-tier, microservices, and event-driven architecture patterns and cloud-native design.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, configuration management, infrastructure as code, containerization, and deployment automation.
- Experience with Terraform, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI/CD, and familiarity with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Strong systems integration skills, including RESTful APIs, SOAP, enterprise integration patterns, Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle SOA Suite, or other ESB tools.
- Programming or scripting experience with Python/Django, Java, or C#, plus SQL, Oracle Database, PL/SQL, Linux, version control, and build tools.
- Experience with architecture modeling and documentation tools such as Microsoft Visio, Draw.io, Lucidchart, or UML tools.
- Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, modular design, scalability, reusability, separation of concerns, and architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum and DevSecOps practices; ITIL, PRINCE2, or PMP experience is beneficial.
- Knowledge of automated, functional, integration, non-functional, security, and performance testing frameworks or tools.
- Ability to apply security-by-design practices, threat modeling, least privilege, defense in depth, secure coding, ISO 27001, and cloud security guidelines.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, leadership, mentoring, facilitation, consensus-building, and stakeholder-management skills.
