Responsibilities

  • Build a machine learning platform managing feature engineering, model training, versioning, deployment, online serving and evaluation, and prediction-quality monitoring.
  • Identify and generate reusable features for multiple use cases and models.
  • Develop and evaluate algorithms using decision trees, logistic regression, neural networks, Bayesian analysis, and other statistical and machine learning techniques.
  • Support batch and real-time prediction scenarios.
  • Perform low-level systems debugging, performance measurement, and optimization on large production clusters.
  • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to deliver solutions.
  • Keep current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, master's, or PhD in computer science, statistics, or a related field.
  • Typically 6+ years of industry experience applying machine learning to production systems, with PhD experience valued as meaningful acceleration.
  • Strong coding and software development experience using Spark, Python, and Java.
  • Familiarity with real-time model evaluation under low-latency constraints.
  • Familiarity with distributed ML frameworks such as Spark MLlib and TensorFlow.
  • Experience with large-scale computing frameworks, data analysis systems, and modeling environments such as Spark, Hive, Aerospike, and ScyllaDB.
  • Ad-tech experience is a plus.
