Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of large-scale data platforms supporting AI/ML workloads.
- Own data pipeline lifecycles from ingestion and ETL through real-time streaming using Kafka and REST/gRPC.
- Design scalable distributed data processing solutions.
- Lead AI/ML model development from feature engineering through production deployment and monitoring.
- Architect SQL, NoSQL, and vector database storage solutions.
- Establish data quality, governance, and privacy frameworks.
- Drive MLOps strategy, including model evaluation, deployment automation, and monitoring.
- Lead technical design reviews and establish architectural patterns.
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams on scalable solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 6+ years of professional software development experience with technical leadership using Python, C++, and Java.
- 4+ years of data engineering experience in pipeline architecture and large-scale data processing.
- 3+ years of hands-on AI/ML development in production environments.
- Advanced Python proficiency and expertise with data and ML libraries.
- Deep expertise with PySpark and Apache Spark.
- Strong knowledge of relational, non-relational, and vector databases.
- Experience with REST APIs, gRPC, Kafka, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience owning complex technical initiatives and leading technical teams.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Preferred experience with modern data stacks, data warehouses, vector databases, semantic search, generative AI, large language models, knowledge graphs, RAG, MLOps tools, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, GDPR, and telecom or networking.
